We have a range of hugely exciting projects lined up for 2010 and I am looking forward to launching these over the coming weeks.

Autumn 2009 saw the launch of the In to Business competition. The entries displayed a variety of approaches and business ideas and showed that there is a desire among people from all walks of life to set up their own business.

Shortly before Christmas 2009 a competition winner was chosen and over the coming weeks and months the Emerald team will work alongside Jean Wilson and Sallie Wyatt from Worcester in the launch of their new business. Their business idea is to establish a child centred provision for children with disabilities and their families, a service that is urgently needed in the Worcester area.

As this business develops we will feature their progress on this website and in other media. I am delighted to say that alongside Emerald, Worcester Community Housing will be providing additional support to Jean and Sallie.

Most of our client websites benefit from a user defined bespoke content management system to allow in house management of all content.

Our system, Amethyst, has been developed over the last 6 years to be a leading CMS, designed around the needs of website administrators who have limited technical skills, and including a range of functions that deliver benefits and advantages for the client.

Many of the functions included in the current version have been developed as a result of client requests or suggestions, and each new project brings opportunities to enhance Amethyst even further.
