Design

Good design is subjective and personal - what I like you may not. Ask ten people to comment on one design and you will probably get a range of comments from negative, through neutral to positive. These opinions could be based on past experience, religious beliefs, social background, age, gender and a host of other factors.

However, graphic design in a marketing and business context is there to meet a marketing brief; to position a product or service to a target audience; and to position the product or service in a certain style.  This style could be "traditional and reliable", "fun and funky", "sleek and sexy", or "upmarket and sophisticated" or more.

The skill of a graphic designer is to understand the output of the market research and to transfer that output into visual elements that can be applied to all aspects of a product or service - logo, stationery, website, advertising, packaging, point of sale material and more.

It’s vital to create and manage a brand's purpose, strength and effectiveness. A successful brand is planned to succeed at all levels of communication and emerald strive to achieve this by using proven creative processes and by thoroughly researching your industry sector and competitors.

We are proud of our in-house design studio which enables projects to be produced quickly and efficiently without the added costs & quality issues associated with those who sub contract.

And for many clients we manage photograhy assignments, locally or across mainland Europe.  The difference between library images and actual company images usually makes the difference between a good project and a great project.
